Our Family
The history of our family is made up of a series of connections between people who moved from one part of Italy to another in search of a better life.
Our family was born and lived in Lodi, until Marco’s studies and passion for wine-growing and oenology involved and inspired us; so, as a united family, we decided to undertake this new project. Our search stopped in the Oltrepò Pavese, in Broni, when for the first time the spectacle of these valleys covered by woods and vineyards opened up before our eyes.
It is in this magnificent place that we have decided to grow our new roots.
Therefore, we’d like to introduce ourselves, each of us along with our passions and our role in the “Corte”.
Marco
This is Marco, son of Paola and Gualtiero and brother of Riccardo. From an early age he has always been passionate about the processes that make up life, studying them first in biology and biotechnology, and then deepening them in the study of viticulture and oenology. He is the winemaker and cellar manager of the winery: he takes care of the wine production from the birth of the plant to the bottle, and will accompany you to discover this world.
Riccardo
This is Riccardo, son of Paola and Gualtiero and brother of Marco. Passionate about history, he in turn fell in love with the world of wine and, carried away by Marco’s enthusiasm and commitment, supported him in the business activities. He manages the fields, assists all the cellar work and, with the rest of the family, will welcome you to our establishment!
Paola
This is Paola, wife of Gualtiero and mother of Marco and Riccardo. Cooking has always been a passion of hers, both to relax, but above all for the satisfaction of offering a creative and well-made dish to the guests. She is the chef here in the “Corte” and will accompany you with her creations in your experiences.
Gualtiero
This is Gualtiero, husband of Paola and father of Marco and Riccardo. He has always dreamed of flying since he was a child, his passions and studies have always looked “to the clouds”. First acquiring a flying license and then a degree in aeronautical engineering, he lived up to his own legacy here in the “Corte”, with our little fluttering friends: Gualtiero is the beekeeper at Corte Fabbri and has been raising them since 2020. He is also responsible for our laying hens, and co-creator of our garden.
